Bronze is making a comeback!

It may seem like a throwback to the 70’s, yet bronze, brass and gold are back in the world of bathrooms and interiors in general! Both the style of taps and hues of finishes have evolved, from aged effect bronze to brushed gold options becoming available. A conventional bronze tone offers a more traditional vibe whereas ‘Zanzibar’, our newest BAGNODESIGN finish offers a modern re-invention with a lighter, softer, brushed gold tone.

Bronze can be translated into many design styles. The Princess Nouveau mixer in a weathered effect Bronze automatically lends itself to a traditional design, yet paired with a simplistic vanity unit would offer a design that blurs the lines between classic and contemporary. A paler shade such as Zanzibar in the Ibiza range with its modern slim cross handles, is a reinvention on the historically popular style for an innovative solution to the market. The new Malabar range for 2018 in Zanzibar is a vintage revamp with a fusion of an old favourite – the ceramic handle, offering sleeker lines than many other traditional options. Many bronze finishes are also being translated to the industrial trend, paired with organic textures or contrasted on dark tiles.

Translated to the modern is the Toko range in Zanzibar, including a unique cylindrical shower head, sleek minimal basin taps and push button activated thermostatic shower mixers, for a streamlined and coordinated modern range.

Brass itself is a natural material, so it taps into the 2018 trend for using materials found in nature or mixing materials, through combinations with wooden and concrete textures. There are sure to be many exciting new projects using these reclaimed alternative finishes that will be eyecatching and sophisticated.
